The best kept secret for Polish deli food in San Francisco! Authentic Polish sausages as well as imported groceries. The poppy seed cake is excellent if you happen to be there on the right day. Owners are good at describing the various meats and products; great service. It's a small shop, but worth a stop if you want true Polish made sausage.

Sausages is what drew me to Seakor Polish Delicatessen in the outer Richmond on Geary Blvd, a welcoming quiet, Sun-lit, neighbor spot, Jerry and his helper greeting you warmly, offering deli meats, kielbasy, pierogies, golabki, cakes, and sweets. Love the house cured sausages, pates and headcheese. As well as a nice selection of Polish pantry items and sweets not easily found. They also offer a daily hot dish of the day to go of maybe, sausage, bigo, pierogies, so check that out. But I was there for the sausages. There's a nice selection of Polish, Summer, Garlic, Blood sausages. All cooked. You want to try everything! You can nuke or airfry the sausage in a hurry or if you can wait, panfry lightly with onions and peppers, or take it to the park, slice it, eat it with mustard and fresh bread for a quick meal or snack. WARNING: order more than you expect, as you're slicing the links it somehow finds its way to your mouth v. the plate to share. Slightly embarrassed that it happened on the Summer sausage, I quietly ate the rest of it and pretended all the sausages we bought was plattered...lol SAUSAGES: POLISH - lightly smoked and not overly spicy. I used this in a sausage stew (carrots, celery, onions, seasonings, butter. Yes BUTTER!) that I make for cold days. The sausage was drier than expected but flavorful nonetheless. GARLIC - what more can said...GARLIC Sausage! SUMMER - mild in seasoning and very, very easy to eat. HEADCHEESE: TRADITIONAL HEADCHEESE - I opted for this over the very popular TONGUE HEADCHEESE. I was not disappointed. Think headcheese, full of porky everything and yummy collagen goodness is one of my favor foods. Eat it sliced alone or slather on some mustard of choice, pickles, fresh bread. Yum! Will be back for more sausages, headcheese, and to try the VEAL LOAF, PATES, house pickles, sour cherry jam, POPPYSEED CAKE.

Just had the most delicious Polish-based meal with my parents who are visiting San Francisco. My mom grew up on lots of Polish foods in Cleveland and so when we were driving on Geary and saw this deli, I quickly pulled over so she could check it out. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and the entire facility smelled amazing. It was easy to find things and the staff explained recipes that my mom asked about. We bought Polish sausage, mushroom + sauerkraut pierogis, traditional mustard, horseradish & pickles, as well as tea and desserts (both the apple pie + cheesecake) and WOW... Still sitting at the table finishing the last few bites of this incredibly flavorful and heartwarming meal with my parents. Thank you Seakor for this opportunity to enjoy such a delicious bunch of flavors that i've never experienced on one plate all together! I'll be back for sure!

I visited Seakor Polish Deli this Sunday 10/27/24 and it was closed. There were Public Health notices in the window, but they showed no reasons for closure. I noticed all the reviews were from July and earlier. Could someone let us know what's going on? My rating is from earlier visits.

Witamy w San Francisco!

Updates! Salmon, trout and mackerel (smoked fresh). Lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays (it's so popular they need to isolate it to two days a week or the place is overrun). Otherwise a beautiful, quiet, neighborhood deli with all your old world favorites. A must for mustards, horseradish, and sides for your charcuterie. Great Eastern European cheeses and meats. Difficult to find elsewhere.

Cute mom and pop delicatessen on Geary Street in Richmond district SF. Lots of different cured sausages. We chose to get the garlic sausage. Since it's already cooked, we just had to immerse it in hot water for 10 minutes and chop it up. We had it with spaghetti and it was good! Behind the counter were some homemade desserts. We opted to get a slice of cheesecake and he gave us a huge slice that fed four. The cheesecake was light, airy, creamy and just the right amount of sweet. I would buy it again.

Fourth generation Polish-American on my grandmother's side, explains a bit including my cat's name ("Mishka") that means "teddy bear" in Polish. I've driven past this Polish deli, mainstay in San Francisco for 50 years, only stopping for the first time today or as owner Jerry teased me, "What's wrong with you?!?" Ha ha! Homemade horseradish, jars of mustard, sauerkraut and pickled beets, fresh rye bread, pierogi (made fresh for the holidays), varieties of sausage and several kinds of rich head cheese. Shades of my Grammy's neighborhood on Buffalo's south side. I spied a poppyseed roll and asked for two slices. Jerry pointed and said, "I'll wrap it up?" "No no, not half a ring, just two slices!" "Well, these are two POLISH slices!" I stifled a giggle. "Yes, that sounds good". Added some pickled items, sausage and homemade, fresh horseradish that'll annihilate seasonal allergies. Great shop, warm service, lots of regulars coming and going. Now on my circuit, look forward to returning soon.

I tried this place months ago after reading about it from Cherylynn's informative and entertaining review. The shop is clean and they have a lot of Polish food items. We came in and brought some jellied head-cheeses on that visit and they were great. A few weeks ago, we decided to come back and try their sausages and sandwich. Both are very good. My hubby also really enjoyed the poppyseed cake. We didn't know this, but they don't make sandwiches on the weekend as they are too busy. So we came back on another visit during the week to try the sandwich. They ran out of lettuce on the day we came by, so normally their sandwiches may include lettuce. We enjoyed the sandwich on rye bread. I have no idea what the meats are on the sandwich, but they give you quite a lot as you can see from the photo. Good service, friendly.
